Preservation Vendors Needed in the Kansas City Metro and Surrounding Areas

We’re a growing property preservation company looking for reliable, well-equipped subcontractors to complete preservation work on residential properties for mortgage servicers and lenders (pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, REO). Jobs vary by property condition and can include anything from basic securing to debris removal and winterization.
What will you be doing?
Typical work orders may include:
-Securing services: lock changes, padlocks/hasps, lockboxes, re-securing doors/windows, board-ups (plywood/OSB)
-Winterization / de-winterization: shut-offs, drain-downs, blow-outs, antifreeze, frozen property support (when required)
-Debris removal & cleanouts: interior/exterior debris, minor dumping cleanup, broom-swept finish
-Lawn & exterior maintenance: grass cuts, shrub trimming, leaf removal, gutter cleaning/repairs
-Minor repairs: small carpentry, drywall patch, door/window repairs, temporary roof tarping/repairs
-Health & safety scope (as assigned): mold/microbial treatments, sanitation/maid services with proper PPE
Documentation is a must:
Work orders require clear before/during/after photos and detailed notes (especially for lock changes, debris removal, winterization, and safety hazards).
Minimum requirements:
To be considered, you must have:
-Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation (pickup truck or work van strongly preferred)
-Smartphone (iPhone/Android) + GPS for routing and photo uploads
-Professional communication and fast response time
-Ability to take high-quality photos and follow instructions precisely
-Background check eligibility (required by most clients/networks)
Preferred (strongly) – equipment & capability:
-Standard construction tools
-Ladders (multi-position + extension recommended)
-Generator + air compressor (commonly required for winterizations)
-Safety equipment/PPE appropriate to job type
-Ability to handle basic repairs (doors, windows, trim, light carpentry)
Business readiness (recommended)
Many preservation networks require/strongly prefer:
-Active business license (as applicable)
-Insurance (commonly General Liability, plus others depending on scope)
-Familiarity with vendor platforms and compliance-driven work orders
