Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber and HVAC Technician to join our property vendor team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing and HVAC systems for residential and commercial properties managed by our company across various locations (AL, DE, GA, MS, PA). You will work closely with the property management team to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently, meeting safety codes, and ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Plumbing Duties:
Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for water, gas, sewage, and waste management in residential and commercial buildings.
Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues in sinks, toilets, faucets, and pipes.
Inspect plumbing systems for compliance with codes and regulations in each respective state.
Perform routine maintenance to prevent system failures and extend the lifespan of plumbing equipment.
Respond to emergency plumbing calls and provide timely, effective solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
Collaborate with the property management team to identify and resolve plumbing concerns.
HVAC Duties:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating units, and ventilation systems.
Inspect HVAC equipment for efficiency and safety, ensuring all systems are running within industry standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC issues such as airflow problems, refrigerant leaks, thermostat malfunctions, and electrical faults.
Clean and replace filters, coils, and other components to ensure optimal system performance.
Provide seasonal maintenance for heating and cooling systems, ensuring readiness for extreme weather conditions.
Respond to service calls and perform repairs in a timely manner, minimizing tenant disruption.
Offer recommendations for system upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and long-term maintenance strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven Experience as a plumber and HVAC technician, preferably in a property management or vendor setting.
Technical Expertise in plumbing systems (water, gas, sewage) and HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning).
Licensing/Certifications: Required plumbing and HVAC certifications as per local/state regulations for Alabama (AL), Delaware (DE), Georgia (GA), Mississippi (MS), and Pennsylvania (PA).
Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and diagrams related to plumbing and HVAC systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and perform manual labor.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and service calls while meeting deadlines.
Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to plumbing and HVAC work.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification/Trade School in Plumbing, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in plumbing and HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation.
Work Conditions:
Locations: Willingness to travel to properties across Alabama (AL), Delaware (DE), Georgia (GA), Mississippi (MS), and Pennsylvania (PA).
Hours: Flexible hours, with some on-call availability for emergency repairs.
Work Environment: Work in a variety of residential and commercial settings, including apartments, office buildings, and multi-unit complexes.
Use of standard plumbing and HVAC tools, vehicles, and equipment.
Possible exposure to hazardous materials and conditions while maintaining compliance with safety protocols.
